  4. Function of Main Components

    Component Function
    Headlight Light Control ECU Sub-assembly RH Controls the headlight cleaner system according to the signals from the each ECU and the switch.
    Headlight Light Control ECU Sub-assembly LH Sends the low beam headlight illumination request signal to the headlight light control ECU sub-assembly RH.
    Combination Switch Assembly Headlight Cleaner Switch Sends the headlight cleaner switch operation signal to the headlight light control ECU sub-assembly RH.
    Headlight Cleaner Motor and Pump Assembly Sends the washer fluid to the headlight cleaner actuator sub-assembly in accordance with the signals from the headlight light control ECU sub-assembly RH.
    Main Body ECU (Multiplex Network Body ECU) Sends the low beam head light illumination request signal to the headlight light control ECU sub-assembly LH after inputting the light control switch signal from the headlight dimmer switch assembly
    Headlight Dimmer Switch Assembly Transmits a light control signal to the main body ECU.
    Windshield Washer Motor and Pump Assembly* Activates in accordance with the signal from the washer switch (windshield wiper switch assembly).
    Windshield Wiper Switch Assembly Washer Switch* Sends the windshield washer switch operation signal to the headlight light control ECU sub-assembly RH.

  5. Operation


    1. The headlight cleaner system operates as follow:

      Low Beam Headlight Headlight Cleaner Switch Windshield Washer Switch*
      On On (First Time) On (Second Time or Later)
      On Activated Activated Not Activated
