HYBRID TRANSAXLE SYSTEM


  1. OUTLINE


    1. The P314 hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly is used.

    2. Containing Motor Generator No. 2 (MG2) for driving the vehicle and Motor Generator No. 1 (MG1) for generating electrical power, this transaxle uses a continuously variable transmission mechanism with a compound gear unit that achieves smooth and quiet operation.

    3. A shift lock release button, which manually overrides the shift lock mechanism, is provided.

    4. A shift pattern is provided that has an S position to the side of the D position.

      *1 The shift lever can be moved only with the power switch on (IG) or on (READY) and the brake pedal depressed.
      *2 The shift lever can be moved at anytime.
  2. MAJOR DIFFERENCE


    1. The new models have been modified from the previous models as shown below.


      1. Power management control ECU has been changed to hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly.
