OUTLINE
Exhaust Emission Control System
An oxidation catalyst and a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) catalyst are used to purify the Particulate Matter (PM), HC and CO.
The ECM optimally controls the fuel injection timing, fuel injection volume and EGR gas flow volume based on signals from the air fuel ratio sensor.
Air fuel ratio sensor heater control, which maintains the temperature of the respective sensors at an appropriate level, is used to improve the detection accuracy of oxygen concentration in exhaust gas.
Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) System
An Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system is used to reduce exhaust gas emissions.
Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Catalyst Regeneration Control
DPF catalyst regeneration control is used to purify the PM in the DPF catalyst.
Blow-by Gas Ventilation System
A blow-by gas ventilation system is used. This system reduces emissions by forcibly drawing blow-by gas, which includes a large amount of HC, into the intake pipe for combustion.
