    1. 1ZR-FAE and 2ZR-FAE Engines


      1. The 1ZR-FAE and 2ZR-FAE engines are provided. These engines are equipped with a Dual Variable Valve Timing-intelligent (Dual VVT-i) system, which continuously performs variable controls on the intake and exhaust valve timing, and a VALVEMATIC, which continuously performs variable controls on the amount of lift of the intake valve.

      2. The VALVEMATIC, Dual Variable Valve Timing-intelligent (Dual VVT-i) system, Direct Ignition System (DIS), Acoustic Control Induction System (ACIS) and Electronic Throttle Control System-intelligent (ETCS-i) are provided, thus achieving improved engine performance, fuel economy, and clean emissions.

    2. 1AD-FTV Engine


      1. The 1AD-FTV TOYOTA Direct injection 4 stroke common-rail Diesel engine (D-4D) is an in-line 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter, 16-valve DOHC turbocharged diesel engine with intercooler.

      2. This engine uses a direct injection system and common-rail system to achieve higher performance, clean emissions, low noise and low vibrations.

      3. This engine has 2 types; one type (models with DPF catalyst) uses both the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) catalyst and oxidation catalyst, and the other type (models without DPF catalyst) uses the oxidation catalyst only.

      1. The 2AD-FHV TOYOTA Direct injection 4 stroke common-rail Diesel engine (D-4D) is an in-line 4-cylinder, 2.2-liter, 16-valve DOHC turbocharged diesel engine with intercooler.

      2. This engine uses a direct injection system and common-rail system to achieve higher performance, clean emissions, low noise and low vibration. In addition, this engine uses the Diesel Clean Advanced Technology (D-CAT) system to reduce emissions.
