FUNCTION
Safety Features
Frontal Collision Performance
Reinforcements of the front pillars and the rail are overlapped and the inner front pillar reinforcement is extended to the rear of the lower inner front pillar reinforcement.

Impact Absorbing Structure for Side Collision
High tensile strength steel is used for the center pillar reinforcement with the inside using ultra high tensile strength steel (100 kg class).
Moreover, there is another inside layer of high tensile strength steel, achieving pillar strength. High tensile strength steel is also used for the rocker panel reinforcement and rail reinforcement, optimizing strength characteristics.
Additional support comes from the provision of a roof reinforcement, floor reinforcement and roof header reinforcement as crossmembers.
The strength is optimally balanced to contribute to restricted cabin deformation.
Impact Absorbing Engine Hood
An impact absorbing engine hood with a longitudinal frame structure is used. The frame pitch, bead height and width of this structure have been optimized, achieving a high level of pedestrian protection performance.
Low Vibration and Low Noise Body
Performance dampers (front and rear) have been adopted for F SPORT.
The performance dampers absorb minor vibrations in the vehicle body, realizing excellent handling stability.

Damping coatings are provided, combining enhanced quietness and reduced weight.
Nonwoven type front fender liner and rear wheel house liners are used to reduce road noise, noise from sand and noise from the splashing of water.
Aerodynamics
An aero stabilizing fin is provided on the rear combination light lens for enhanced aerodynamics.
After passing the aero stabilizing fin, the air speed will increase and vortex flow will be generated.
This vortex flow increases the speed of surrounding air while at the same time pulling the airflow towards the vehicle body.
The airflow with higher speed passes near both sides of the vehicle body and ends at the rear of the vehicle. This helps to hold the vehicle body, and thus stabilizes the vehicle.

Various types of airflow routing parts are provided under the floor to control airflow. In addition, an undercover is provided to make the underfloor area flat in order to ensure excellent aerodynamic performance.
CONSTRUCTION
Lightweight and Highly Rigid Body
High strength steel and ultra high strength steel are used in order to realize excellent body rigidity and a lightweight body.
Rust-resistant Body
Anti-corrosion steel is used as shown in the following illustration:
