THEFT DETERRENT GENERAL


  1. OUTLINE


    1. The theft deterrent system can sound an alarm when any of the following activates are detected:


      • The vehicle is being forcibly entered.

      • The engine hood is being opened.

      • Any door is being unlocked without the key.

      • A battery terminal is disconnected and reconnected.

      • The pitch angle of the vehicle inclination is changed.*1

      • Any moving object is detected in the interior.*2

    2. The system consists of door lock control system parts, entry and start system parts, intrusion sensor, yawrate sensor, security horn*3, self-power siren*4 and security indicator light.

    3. The system is controlled by the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

  2. MAJOR DIFFERENCE


    1. The self-power siren has been changed to a Piezo-electric type siren.
