ACTIVE STABILIZER SUSPENSION SYSTEM GENERAL

  1. OUTLINE

    1. An active stabilizer suspension system has been adopted to help suppress roll angle when cornering and ensure a stable cornering posture.

    2. The active stabilizer suspension system controls the stabilizer electronically by using 2 active stabilizer control actuator assembly to limit rolling when cornering.

    3. A pair of active stabilizer actuators are provided, one each for the front and rear stabilizer bars for optimum control of the stabilizer force in accordance with vehicle posture.

    4. Each active stabilizer control actuator assembly is controlled by its respective active stabilizer control ECU assembly.

    5. To activate the active stabilizer control actuator assemblies, the active stabilizer suspension system uses electrical power from the HV battery that has been converted to a lower voltage by the power steering converter assembly (DC-DC converter).
