      • -: Not equipped

    2. The memory function works in combination with the following systems, ensuring usability and enabling easy entering or exiting of the vehicle.

      System Outline
Outside Rear View Mirror System The outer mirror control ECU memorizes the outside rear view mirror positions and recalls them when all conditions are met.
Steering Column System The multiplex tilt and telescopic ECU memorizes the steering column position and recalls it when all conditions are met.
  3. CONSTRUCTION

    1. Leg Support Adjustment

      1. A leg support adjustment function is provided in order to deal with a wide range of driver heights. The length of the cushion pad front edge can be adjusted.

      2. Adjustment is operated through a link and rod connected to the motor, which extends and contracts the cushion pad.

  4. OPERATION

    1. Seat Position Detection Method

      1. A pulse generation circuit in position control ECU converts the current pulsations that are generated by the rotation of the motor into pulse signals. These signals are then picked up in order to detect the seat position.

  5. DIAGNOSIS

    1. The position control ECU has a diagnosis function. It stores a record of any power seat control system failures in its memory in the form of Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).

    2. The position control ECU outputs malfunction data, 5-digit DTCs, to the intelligent tester.

    3. The 5-digit DTCs can be read after connecting the intelligent tester to the DLC3. For details, refer to the Repair Manual.
