*4 If the engine switch is turned on (IG) or the engine is turned off while a message is displayed, the message that is interrupted will be displayed first.
*5 Conditions are met and vehicle speed is less than 8 km/h (5 mph).
*6 Conditions for displaying new messages other than the door open warning are met, or the vehicle speed is more than 8 km/h (5 mph).
*7 Mode has completed and conditions for dynamic radar cruise control display are met.
*8 Up or down switch is not operated for more than 6 seconds.
*9 The advisory display will be shown as the last of the normal displays.
      2. Cruise Information Mode Function

        1. The cruise information is displayed in the following order each time the up/down switch of the multi-information switch (steering pad switch assembly) is pressed.

          (1) Current Fuel Consumption
          • Displays a value that has been calculated by the combination meter assembly. When the engine switch is turned on (IG), the combination meter assembly calculates this value based on the distance driven and the fuel consumption volume (fuel injection signal from the No. 1 injector).

          • This display is updated every 0.5 seconds.

          (2) Average Fuel Consumption After Refueling
          • Displays the value calculated by the combination meter assembly based on the distance driven since refueling and the fuel consumption volume (fuel injection signals from the No. 1 injector).

          • The combination meter assembly determines the vehicle has been refueled through the signal from the fuel sender gauge.

          • This display is updated every 10 seconds.

          (3) Average Fuel Consumption
          • Displays a value that has been calculated by the combination meter assembly based on the distance driven and the fuel consumption volume (fuel injection signal from the No. 1 cylinder).

          • This display is updated every 10 seconds.

          (4) Average Vehicle Speed
          • Displays the average vehicle speed calculated by the combination meter assembly based on the engine start signal and vehicle speed signal.

          • This display is updated every 10 seconds.

          (5) Driving Range
          • Displays a value that has been calculated by the combination meter assembly. When the engine switch is turned on (IG), the combination meter assembly calculates the range based on continuously monitoring and storing information on fuel consumption data, and the residual fuel volume.

          • This display is updated every 10 seconds.

          (6) Blank Screen -
          (7) Eco Driving Indicator Zone Display
          • Displays Eco driving state by the movement of the bar on Eco driving indicator zone display after the comparison of Eco driving range with the current acceleration.

          • Displays a value that has been calculated by the ECM. When the engine switch is turned on (IG), the ECM calculates the Eco driving ratio based on AT vehicle speed, accelerator pedal operation, shift position, engine speed, shift range and driving mode signals.

          • This display is updated every 0.2 seconds.

      3. Window Close Suggestion Mode Function

        1. Window close suggestion mode is a function that reminds the driver to close the windows when they exit the vehicle. This helps to prevent the windows from being left open.

        2. If any of the windows is open when the driver exits the vehicle after turning the engine switch off, all open windows can be closed by operating the multi-information switch (the steering pad switch assembly) as shown below:

    1. Headup Display Unit (Combination Meter Mirror ECU)

      1. The headup display unit (combination meter mirror ECU) consists of the ECU, Liquid Crystal Display (LCD), reflector, concave mirror and light source LEDs.

      2. By changing the angle of the concave mirror, the position of the image displayed can be adjusted.

    2. Windshield Glass for Headup Display

      1. Windshield glass without a combiner treatment is used for the headup display.

      2. This glass has a wedge-shaped inner PVC film. This film, with its varying thickness, is located between the outer and inner layers of glass.

      3. The light that strikes the glass is reflected by the inner surface of the inner glass, and also by the inner side of the outer surface of outer layer of glass. With a conventional windshield, the light reflected from these 2 surfaces diverges due to the thickness of the glass, resulting in a double image.

      4. The PVC film uses its wedge shape to eliminate the reflection angle difference between the outer glass and inner glass. This recombines the reflected light and eliminates the double image.

      5. Thus, the reflected light from the head up display unit is recognized by the driver as a single display image.
