BRAKE CONTROL SYSTEM GENERAL

  1. OUTLINE

    1. Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM) is a vehicle motion control system that integrates brake control (ABS with EBD, Brake Assist, TRC, VSC and Hill-start Assist Control) and steering assist control.

    2. VSC with EPS-VSC integrated control, a type of brake control system that comprehensively controls the brake control, drive force control and steering assist control, is provided.

  2. MAJOR DIFFERENCE

    1. The new models have been modified from the previous models as shown below:

      1. Operation of the buzzer in the combination meter assembly during VSC operation has been discontinued.

  3. MAIN FEATURES

    1. Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM)

      1. VDIM integrates brake control (ABS with EBD, Brake Assist, TRC, VSC and Hill-start Assist Control) and steering assist control (EPS) to enhance the dynamic performance when "accelerating, turning and stopping".

      2. Using VDIM, brake control starts earlier in order to ensure that the vehicle does not exceed its behavioral limits. The brake control system and the Electric Power Steering (EPS) operate in a coordinated manner.

    2. VSC with EPS-VSC Integrated Control

      1. VSC with EPS-VSC integrated control is a stability control system that integrates brake control (ABS with EBD, Brake Assist, TRC, VSC and Hill-start Assist Control) and Electric Power Steering (EPS).

      2. Using VSC with EPS-VSC integrated control, the brake control system and the EPS operate in a coordinated manner.
