EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM GENERAL

  1. OUTLINE

    1. Exhaust Emission Control System

      1. 2 Three-Way Catalysts (TWCs) are used to reduce emissions in the exhaust gas.

      2. Based on the signals from the air fuel ratio sensor* and oxygen sensors, the ECM controls the fuel injection volume in order to optimize the emissions in the exhaust gas.

      3. An air injection system is used.*

        • *: Models compliant with EURO 4 emission regulations

    2. Evaporative Emission Control System

      1. The ECM controls the purge flow of evaporative emissions (HC) in the charcoal canister assembly in accordance with engine conditions.
