Daytime Running Light System
The daytime running light system is designed to automatically illuminate the day time running Light during the daytime to keep the vehicle highly visible to other vehicles.
Automatic Light Control System
When the light control switch is in the AUTO position, the automatic light control sensor detects the ambient light level and automatically turns the headlights, taillights, clearance lights and license plate lights on or off accordingly.
Light Automatic Turn-off System
The light auto turn-off system is used to prevent the driver from leaving the vehicle with the headlights, front fog lights, clearance lights, taillights, rear fog light or license plate lights on.
Follow Me Home System
The follow me home system is designed to illuminate the low beam headlights for approximately 30 seconds after the vehicle parked.
Light Reminder System
When the driver door is opened with either the headlights or the taillights turned on when the ignition switch is turned off, the buzzer sounds to prevent the driver from forgetting to turn off the lights.
Manual Headlight Beam Level Control System
The manual headlight beam level control system keeps the beam of the headlight adjusted.
Automatic High Beam System (Models with Toyota Safety Sense)
The automatic high beam system detects lights in front of the vehicle and automatically changes between high beams and low beams to support the driver during night driving.
MAIN FEATURES
Light Emitting Diode (LED) Daytime Running Light/LED Clearance light
The Light Emitting Diode (LED) daytime running light uses bright LEDs that automatically turn on during the daytime. When the taillights or low beam are activated, these LEDs reduce intensity to make the clearance light function.
The daytime running light and clearance light consists of 4 LEDs and a lightguide that guides an LED light.
In addition, the use of LEDs for daytime running lights enables reduced power consumption compared to halogen daytime running lights.

PRECAUTION
Automatic High Beam System (Models with Toyota Safety Sense)
The automatic high beam system is a system that helps ensure visibility by automatically turning the high beams on and off.
However, due to control limitations of the automatic high beam system, it may be necessary to manually turn the high beams on and off. When driving, for safety reasons, make sure to change the high beams and low beams manually according to the driving conditions.
Under the following conditions, the automatic high beam system might not detect other vehicles or lights correctly, or the high beams might cause glare or flash pedestrians or the occupants of other vehicles. Manual operation should be used.
