METER / GAUGE SYSTEM


  1. OUTLINE


    1. A combination meter assembly, which has either a monochrome type multi-information display or color type multi-information display, is provided.

    2. A multi-information display on which various kinds of information is displayed is integrated.

    3. The combination meter assembly has a built-in meter ECU and buzzer.

  2. MAIN FEATURES


    1. Opening/Ending Ceremony (Models with Color Type Multi-information Display)


      1. An opening ceremony which allows for anticipation of a pleasant drive is used. The opening ceremony operates as follows:


        1. When the ignition switch is turned to ON (IG), the opening screen and the needles of the speedometer, hybrid system indicator, engine coolant temperature gauge and fuel gauge illuminate.

        2. Next, the dials of the speedometer, hybrid system indicator, engine coolant temperature gauge and fuel gauge illuminate and the opening screen ends.

        3. Afterwards, the multi-information display illuminates.

      2. An ending ceremony which allows for anticipation of a pleasant drive is used. The ending ceremony operates as follows:


        1. When the ignition switch is turned off, the multi-information display and the dials of the speedometer, hybrid system indicator, engine coolant temperature gauge and fuel gauge turn off.

        2. Afterwards, the needles of the speedometer, hybrid system indicator, engine coolant temperature gauge and fuel gauge turn off. Also, the ODO display turns off after a certain period of time elapses.

    2. Multi-information Display (Models with Color Type Multi-information Display)


      1. The multi-information display is located at the center of the combination meter assembly.

      2. The multi-information display shows the following information.

        Item Outline
        Shift Position The current shift position is displayed.
        Drive Mode

        • The currently selected drive mode is displayed:


          • ECO Mode

        • The multi-information display color changes in accordance with drive mode:


          • ECO Mode: Blue
        Outside Temperature

        • The outside temperature is displayed.

        • When the outside temperature drops below 3°C (37°F), an ice warning light illuminates to warn the driver to drive with caution due to possibly icy road conditions. After the ice warning light flashes 10 times, the light stays on. When the temperature reaches 5°C (41°F), the light goes off.
        Information

        • The following information can be displayed on the multi-information display by switching the tabs.


          • Drive Information

          • Navigation Information*1

          • Driving Assist System Information*3

          • Warning Message

          • Settings

        • The tab can be switched using the right/left switch in the steering pad switch assembly.
        Indicator/Warning

        • When the display conditions are met, the following indicators illuminate.


          • Cruise Control Indicator*4

          • Cruise SET Indicator*4

          • Lane Departure Alert Indicator*3

          • Pre-crash Safety Warning*3

          • Road Sign Assist Indicator*5
        Vehicle Power Source State*6

        • The vehicle power source state is displayed.

        • The following indicator light is displayed on the multi-information display.


          • Key Warning Light

        • ODO/TRIP Meter

        • Light Control Rheostat

        • The odometer, trip meter A, trip meter B and meter panel luminance adjustment are displayed.

        • The item shown can be switched by pressing the TRIP switch of the steering pad switch assembly.

        • *3: Models with Toyota safety sense

        • *4: Models with cruise control system

        • *5: Models with road sign assist system

        • *6: Models with entry and start system

    1. Ignition Switch Expressions


      1. The type of ignition switch used on this model differs depending on the specifications of the vehicle. The expressions listed in the table below are used in this section.
