CONSTRUCTION
Rear Coil Spring and Rear Shock Absorber Assembly
Both ends of the coil spring have been formed into a small-diameter, pigtail shape. The compact construction has been designed to accommodate the low floor package.
Spring insulators are provided at the top and bottom ends of the rear coil springs, and the thickness of the insulators has been optimized to reduce vibration and achieve excellent ride comfort.

The low-pressure N2 gas sealed rear shock absorber assembly delivers stable damping force characteristics, providing excellent maneuverability and ride comfort.
A multi-leaf type linear control valve is used to attain linear damping force characteristics.

Note
To prevent hazardous conditions, make sure to empty the gas from the shock absorber before discarding an N2gas sealed shock absorber. For details, refer to the repair manual.
The multi-leaf type linear control valve has a structure consisting of several layered leaf valves with different diameter. Through use of the multi-leaf type linear control valve, changes in the damping force are made constant at low piston speeds, thus offering the excellent riding comfort and controllability.
Axle Beam and Trailing Arm
The axle beam (rear axle beam assembly) offers not only high rigidity but also stability by optimized shearing center position.
The trailing arm (rear axle beam assembly) is fixed on the body via an angled bushing.
The inner cylinder of the rear axle carrier bush is made of aluminum, reducing the weight.
