GRILLE SHUTTER SYSTEM GENERAL

    1. A grille shutter, which opens and closes at the lower grille of the front bumper cover portion, is used on models for Europe and Australia, depending on the specifications of the vehicle.

    2. The grille shutter opens and closes in response to the engine coolant temperature and the vehicle speed, thus reducing the amount of fuel consumption.

    3. The grille shutter ECU is built into the actuator (swing grille actuator assembly) in the grille shutter and controls the grille shutter.
