  1. OUTLINE


    1. Interior Concept


      1. A feeling of openness has been achieved in the cabin by making the instrument panel center portion more compact. A safe-feeling has been achieved by providing proper support from the sides by the door trim and the console. As a result, the integration of these feelings produces a driving space appropriate for premium grand touring.

      2. Returning to the original concept of premium grand touring to make traveling over long distances and long periods of time more pleasant, widening of an integrated living space has been achieved by revising the external shape and giving the curtain shield airbag a more compact construction.

      3. For the interior design, the shapes and visibility of lines and surfaces have been made as distinct as possible to express the materials used. Also, a high level of harmony between the integration expressed by the design and the material used for each function expresses a premium-feel LEXUS originality with an attractive interior space.

      4. The shapes of the instrument panel, seats, roof headlining, door trim and pillar garnish have each been carefully considered so as to achieve an interior space which can flexibly accommodate a wide range of different user body heights and shapes.

    2. Door Trim


      1. The construction of the door trim continues from the side to the arm rest and knee pad, thus achieving a shape and feel that fits the arms and elbows comfortably.

      2. The decorative ornaments, which are coordinated with the instrument panel, have been designed to give a feeling of unity with the door handles, thus giving a simple, refined design.

    3. Arm Rest

    4. Door Ambient Illumination


      1. Door ambient illumination is provided in the door trims. When the door is unlocked, an indirect light illuminates softly along the lower edge of the silver decoration, thus producing a sense of welcoming together with an innovative, high-class feel.

    5. Rear Sunshade System


      1. An electrically-operated rear sunshade system is provided as optional equipment. This system blocks direct sunlight from entering through the back window in order to ensure the comfort of the rear seat passengers.

    6. Rear Door Sunshade System


      1. A manual type rear door sunshade system is provided.

      2. The door shade rises while moving rearward to fit the rear window. By reducing the gap between the shade and the rear window and ensuring a high level of light-blocking performance, comfort in the rear seats has been increased.

      3. A division shade, which is pulled out of the division bar directly sideways, is provided as a supplement to cover the part of the rear window that cannot be covered by the door shade alone.

    7. Luggage Compartment


      1. By optimizing the component shapes in the luggage compartment room, a highly usable storage space has been achieved.

      2. Luggage hooks are provided in 4 places on the floor part of the luggage compartment room, and upward-folding hooks are provided in consideration of usability and appearance.

      3. The luggage compartment door hinge assembly is covered by the luggage compartment trim cover inner to help improve the appearance of the luggage compartment.

      2. Decorations have been given to components such as the upper portion of the instrument panel, ornaments, steering wheel, shift knob, floor console and door trim.     9. Steering Wheel


      1. The steering wheel has been given the appeal of the LEXUS brand image by enlarging the mark.

    10. Remote Touch


      1. The remote touch (remote control device) is provided.

      2. The remote touch is provided at a location 1 step higher than the upper face of the floor console, thus aiming for an improvement in operability.

      3. Indirect lighting is provided on the periphery of the remote touch, and by arranging the indirect lighting so that it does not shine on the console, a floating visual effect is given to the remote touch, thus achieving innovativeness.

      4. The area around the remote touch lights up with a constant width that corresponds to the flow of the silver decoration. Also, the indirect lighting has been slightly strengthened only in the area around the switch knob, thus clarifying its central operational position.

    11. Footrest


      1. A large footrest is used, achieving both vehicle stability during sporty driving and comfort during long-distance driving.

    12. Center Cluster


      1. While also being compact, the design of the center cluster achieves high operability and a strong presence as the center of the interior.

      2. The center cluster expresses a unity between the innovativeness of the 12.3-inch multi-display and the heritage of the analog clock.

      3. A flat-type center register is used, producing a feeling of the width of the interior together with the prominence of the analog clock.

      4. An upholstered panel is used in the center cluster, which was conventionally constructed with a resin panel. An improvement in appearance and feel is aimed for by providing upholstery on the center cluster, which is often touched by the user.

    13. Audio and Visual System

    20. LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System


      1. The LEXUS parking assist-sensor system uses ultrasonic sensors and is equipped with a beeping alarm. The system can detect obstacles at the rear of the vehicle, and provide information regarding the distance to the driver.

    21. Parking Assist Monitor System


      1. To assist the driver in parking the vehicle by monitoring the area behind it, the parking assist monitor system has a rear television camera assembly mounted on the luggage compartment door.

      2. A view of the area behind the vehicle will be displayed on the multi-display.

    22. Cruise Control System


      1. The cruise control system is provided.

      1. The garage door opener system is provided. This system enables a garage door to be opened or closed from inside the vehicle by operating one of the garage door opener switches that are provided in the inner rear view mirror.

    30. Entry and Start System


      1. This system mainly consists of a wireless door lock control function, engine immobiliser function, start function and entry function.

      2. The start function allows the power source mode to be switched between off, on (ACC) and on (IG). The power source can be switched by pushing the power switch while the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly is being carried by the driver. In addition, when the key is carried by the driver, the driver can start the hybrid system by pushing the power switch with the brake pedal depressed.

    31. Combination Meter Assembly


      1. A large 2-dial Optitron display type combination meter assembly appropriate to grand touring is used in consideration of visual confirmation performance. The metallic frame produces a sporty feel, and the ambient illumination produces an appearance of solidity.

    32. Headup Display


      1. A headup display is provided.

      2. Various types of information that are necessary when driving are shown on the windoshield glass. As a result, the driver can confirm information with less eye movement than when looking at the combination meter.

    33. Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Airbag


      1. The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) driver and front passenger airbags are used as supplements to the seat belts to help reduce the shocks to the head and chest of the driver or front passenger in the event of a frontal collision.

      2. The SRS knee airbag is used as a supplement to the seat belt to help reduce the shock to the knees of the driver and front passenger in the event of a frontal collision.

      3. The SRS side airbags are used during a side or rear side collision to help reduce the impact to the chests of the driver, front passenger and rear passenger.

      4. The SRS curtain shield airbags are used in the event of a side or rear side collision to help reduce the impact to the head of the driver, front passenger or rear passenger.

    34. Pre-crash Safety System
