      1. The maintenance required reminder will appear to inform the driver of maintenance requirements. The maintenance required message is displayed on the multi-information display.

      2. The combination meter assembly calculates the vehicle driving distance based on signals from the skid control ECU assembly.

      3. There are 2 types of warnings: one is displayed when the accumulated vehicle driving distance is 14500 km or more since the last time the system was reset, and the other is displayed when the accumulated driving distance is 15000 km or more.

      4. The maintenance required reminder functions as follows:

Warning Method 14500 km or more 15000 km or more
Multi-information Display "Maintenance required soon" warning appears for approximately 15 seconds "Maintenance required" warning remains on
      5. After the required maintenance has been performed, the accumulated vehicle driving distance memorized in the combination meter assembly should be reset to zero using the setting function displayed on multi-information display.

        Tech Tips

After initialization is complete, "Initialization Completed" will be displayed on the multi-information display.

  2. CONSTRUCTION

Hybrid System Indicator Hybrid System Indicator is shown on the display.
Turn-by-turn Navigation*1 Turn-by-turn navigation information is displayed based on the signal from the multi-media module receiver assembly.
        Audio
        • Audio information is displayed based on the signal from the multi-media module receiver assembly.

        • The audio mode can be turned on or off by using a customization function.

Dynamic Radar Cruise Control Warning*2 Dynamic radar cruise control warning display indicates when the vehicle is nearing the vehicle ahead during the vehicle-to-vehicle control.
Pre-crash Safety Warning*2 The pre-crash safety system warning display will interrupt the current information immediately when a warning occurs.
Lane Departure Alert or Lane Keeping Assist Warning*2 The lane departure alert system or lane keeping assist is displayed when the vehicle is out of its lane.
Traffic Sign Display*3 The road sign assist system recognizes traffic signs using the forward recognition camera and provides information to the driver.

        No. Condition
*1 The DISP switch (headup display main switch assembly) is pressed for 1.5 seconds or more when the vehicle speed is 5 mph (8 km/h) or less.
*2 The DISP switch (headup display main switch assembly) is pressed for less than 1.5 seconds when the vehicle speed is 5 mph (8 km/h) or less.
*3 The vehicle speed is 5 mph (8 km/h) or more, or the headup display has not been operated for 3 minutes.
    3. Windshield Glass for Headup Display

      1. Windshield glass without a combiner treatment is used for the headup display.

      2. This glass has a wedge-shaped inner PVC film. This film, with its varying thickness, is located between the outer and inner layers of glass.

      3. The light that strikes the glass is reflected by the inner surface of the inner glass, and also by the inner side of the outer surface of outer layer of glass. With a conventional windshield, the light reflected from these 2 surfaces diverges due to the thickness of the glass, resulting in a double image.

      4. The PVC film uses its wedge shape to eliminate the reflection angle difference between the outer glass and inner glass. As a result, the reflected light is displaced to reduce double images.

      5. Thus, the reflected light from the headup display unit is recognized by the driver as a single display image.
