FUNCTION
The main components of the steering lock system are integrated in the steering lock actuator assembly, and the steering lock ECU controls the lock bar operation through the control of the lock/unlock motor.
The steering lock ECU detects the position (lock/unlock) of the lock bar and transmits this information to the main body ECU (driver side junction block).
In this system, the main body ECU (driver side junction block) determines whether to lock or unlock the steering based on communication with the steering lock ECU. Then, the main body ECU (driver side junction block) sends lock or unlock command signals, the steering lock ECU through the ID code box (immobiliser code ECU). Upon receiving the signals to the steering lock ECU operates the lock/unlock motor to lock or unlock the steering.
