FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS
The electrical remote control mirror system consists of the following parts:

The mirror heater system consists of the following parts:

FUNCTION
Power Retractable Electrical Remote Control Function
The user operates a switch on top of the outer mirror switch assembly to control the retraction of the electric remote mirrors.
Mirror Heater System
The mirror heater system uses a heater element in each mirror to help remove frost and dew from the mirrors.
The mirror heaters are controlled by the air conditioning amplifier assembly.
The mirror heaters operate at the same time as the rear defogger system.
OPERATION
Mirror Heater System
The mirror heaters are activated when the power switch is on (IG), and rear defogger switch is pushed. The air conditioning amplifier assembly keeps the mirror heater on for approximately 15 minutes. Also, under the specified conditions*, another 45 minutes (at the maximum) is added to the operation time.
*: Vehicle speed is 45 km/h (28 mph) or more and the outside temperature is -3°C (27°F) or below.
