DESCRIPTION
A door control battery is newly provided on specified models.
If the battery is damaged, the door control battery will supply power for door unlock operation to each door lock motor and the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
The door control battery fully recharges in approximately 90 seconds of the engine switch being turned on (IG). When the engine switch is turned off, it discharges fully in approximately 40 minutes.

Door Control Battery (Operation)
The door control battery charges completely within approximately 90 seconds after the engine switch is turned on (IG). Also, the battery finishes discharging through self-discharge approximately 40 minutes after the engine switch is turned off.
The charged door control battery is used as a redundant power supply to supply power to the main body ECU and door lock/unlock relay in order to enable the impact detection door lock release even when the battery becomes disconnected due to a collision.
Even when the door control battery is not charged (the engine switch is off), the door control battery always supplies power to the main body ECU and door lock/unlock relay.
