THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM


  1. DESCRIPTION


    1. The theft deterrent system is controlled by the main body ECU*1 or certification ECU*2.

      *1: Models without entry and start system

      *2: Models with entry and start system

    2. The system consists of door lock control system parts, wireless door lock control system parts*1, entry and start system parts*2, security horn*3, self-power siren*4, tilt sensor*5, intrusion sensor*6, glass breakage sensor*7 and a security indicator light.

      *2: Models with entry and start system

      *3: Models with security horn

      *4: Models with self-power siren

      *5: Models with tilt sensor

      *6: Models with intrusion sensor

      *7: Models with glass breakage sensor

    3. The theft deterrent system sounds an alarm when any of the following are detected (except models with standard grade specification theft deterrent system):


      • The back door being opened without the entry and start system, or key (mechanical key).

      • Any door being unlocked without the key (electronic key) unlock button, the entry and start system, or key (mechanical key).

      • The engine hood being opened.

      • The battery terminals are removed and reconnected.

      • The battery terminals are removed.

      • The vehicle being forcibly entered.

      • The pitch angle of vehicle inclination is changed.

      • The power source has been changed to IG-ON by hot wiring and not by operating the engine switch.

      • A rear side glass or back door glass has been broken.

    4. The theft deterrent system sounds an alarm when any of the following actions are detected (models with standard grade specification theft deterrent system):


      • Any door is unlocked not by using the transmitter unlock button or the ignition key.

      • The engine hood is opened.

      • The battery terminals are removed and reconnected.

      • The ignition switch has been changed to ON by hot wiring and not by operating the ignition switch.

    5. The warning methods and timing of the system are listed below.
