DESCRIPTION
The door lock control system consists of the main body ECU, door control switch, key-linked switch, door lock assemblies and door courtesy switches, and is predominantly controlled by the main body ECU.
The door lock control system has the following functions:
| Function | Outline |
|---|---|
| Manual lock and unlock | This function can lock or unlock all doors by the door control switch operation. |
| Manual unlock prohibition | Performing a door lock operation using a key (electronic or mechanical key) or the outside door handle lock switches will prohibit unlock operations using the door control switch assembly on the driver door. |
| Key linked lock and unlock | This function, which is linked with the driver door key cylinder, can lock or unlock all the doors when a lock or unlock operation is effected using the key (mechanical key). However, the function is not activated when the engine switch is on (IG) and the driver seat belt is fastened. |
| Key confine prevention | When the key is in the interior detection area with the driver's door open and if you perform the door lock operation, all the doors will be unlocked. |
| 2-step unlock*1 |
|
| Speed sensitive automatic door lock*2 | After the engine switch was turned on (IG) with any of the doors unlocked, this function causes all doors to be automatically locked once the vehicle speed reaches approx. 20 km/h (13 mph) or more. After this function has operated, it will not operate again until either of the following conditions is met:
|
| Double locking*3 | The double locking function prevents the doors from being opened through the operation of the inside door knobs and also from the outside of the vehicle. This function can be activated or cancelled by conducting either of the following operations.
CAUTION: Never activate the double locking system when there are people in the vehicle because the doors cannot be opened from the inside of the vehicle. Under emergency conditions, such as if the power has been cut, this function can be cancelled by inserting the key (mechanical key) into the driver door key cylinder and turning it to the unlock side. |
