VARIABLE SPEED CONTROL
Opening Power Window
In order to minimize the noise when the power window open function starts operating, the power window ECU accelerates the window opening speed within approximately 80 mm (3.2 in.) of the window fully closed position.
In order to minimize the noise when the power window is opened fully, the power window ECU decelerates the window opening speed within approximately 140 mm (5.5 in.) of the window fully open position.

Closing Power Window
In order to minimize the noise when the power window close function starts operating, the power window ECU accelerates the window closing speed within approximately 25 mm (1.0 in.) of the window fully open position.
In order to minimize the noise when the power window is closed fully, the power window ECU decelerates the window closing speed within approximately 100 mm (3.9 in.) of the window fully closed position.

| *a | Deceleration Approx. 100 mm (3.9 in.) | *b | Normal Speed |

JAM PROTECTION FUNCTION
The jam protection function automatically stops the power window and moves it downward if a foreign object gets jammed in the window during one touch auto up operation or manual up operation.
The reverse-direction conditions and amount of down movement after jam detection are as follows:
The jam protection function operates and lowers the window approximately 125 mm (4.9 in.) or until 2.5 second has elapsed.
After this, if the amount (space) that the window is open has not reached approximately 200 mm (7.9 in.), the jam protection function will continue to lower the window until the space is approximately 200 mm (7.9 in.) or 5 seconds have elapsed.
If the window reaches the fully open position before the initial 125 mm (4.9 in.) lowering of the door glass is reached, the jam protection function will stop at that time.
The magnet and Hall IC in the power window regulator motor assembly are used to enable the power window jam protection.

| *3 | Magnet | - | - |
The Hall IC converts the changes in the magnetic flux that occur through the rotation of the magnet into pulse signals and outputs them to the power window ECU.
To control the jam protection function, the ECU determines the amount of movement and jamming of the window glass based on the pulse signals from the Hall IC.
