DESCRIPTION
This system consists of multi display, remote controller, navigation ECU, television display assembly, radio receiver assembly, stereo component amplifier assembly, wired headphone, and wireless headphone.
It uses a 9-inch television display to provide impressive video images to the rear seat occupants.
The RSES is controlled by the television display assembly with a built-in RSE ECU.
It supports the DVD-V, DVD-A, video-CD, CD-DA, dts CD, CD-TEXT, MP3 (MPEG Audio Layer-3) system, and WMA (Windows Media Audio).
Rear seat passengers can enjoy the same images as those in the multi display and also can select what to display on the screen independently.
The maximum opening angle of the television display is 120°, which increases the viewing range in the downward direction.
The rear display can be opened, closed or tilted by using the remote controller. The display can be tilted at 4 angles: 90°, 100°, 110°, and 120°.
When the RSES is ON, and the engine switch is turned off, the RSES will also turn OFF. When the engine switch is turned back on (ACC or IG), the RSES will automatically turn ON. At this time, the RSES can resume playing the video image from the point the engine switch was turned off.
A child lock function is provided to disable the operation of the RSES through the remote controller. Turning ON the Rear System Lock displayed on the multi display activates this function.
