    1. 1GR-FE Engine


      1. The 1GR-FE engine is a 4.0-liter, 24-valve DOHC V6 engine. In this engine, a Dual Variable Valve Timing-intelligent (VVT-i) system, in which the VVT-i system has also been added to the exhaust side, and a valve rocker arm are used to minimize friction, offering excellent engine performance, fuel economy and clean emissions.

      2. The 1GR-FE engine is compatible with gasoline/ethanol mixed fuel which contains up to 20% ethanol (E20). Unleaded gasoline with research octane number 95 or higher can be used on this engine.

      1. The 3UR-FE engine is a 5.7-liter, 32-valve DOHC V8. This engine uses the Dual Variable Valve Timing-intelligent (VVT-i) system, Direct Ignition System (DIS), Acoustic Control Induction System (ACIS), and Electronic Throttle Control System-intelligent (ETCS-i). These control functions achieve improved engine performance, fuel economy, and clean emissions.

These control functions achieve improved engine performance, fuel economy, and clean emissions.

    4. 1VD-FTV Engine


      1. The 1VD-FTV engine is newly provided. The 1VD-FTV TOYOTA D-4D (Direct injection 4 stroke common-rail Diesel engine) is V8 4.5 liter, 32-valve DOHC, turbocharged diesel engine with intercooler*. This engine uses direct injection system and common-rail system to realize high performance, clean emission, low noise and low vibration.

    9. Suspension


      1. The coil spring type double-wishbone independent suspension is used for the front, and the 4-link coil spring with lateral rod type suspension is used for the rear.

      2. A Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS) has been provided, which gives both the vehicle outstanding rolling rigidity and excellent performance in the off-road driving.

      3. A 4-wheel Active Height Control suspension (4-wheel AHC) and Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) is provided depending on the model.

    10. Steering


      1. A rack and pinion type steering gear and an engine revolution sensing type power steering are used on the all models.

      2. A variable gear ratio type steering rack is used.

      3. The Variable Gear Ratio Steering (VGRS) system is available as an option. A VGRS system, which variably controls the steering angle in accordance with the vehicle speed, is used.

      4. A manual tilt and telescopic steering column is provided.

      5. A power tilt and power telescopic steering column is provided depending on the model.

      6. The Variable Flow Control (VFC) power steering system is provided depending on the model.

    11. Brake


      1. The following brake control functions are provided depending on the model: multi-terrain Anti-lockBrake System (ABS), Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD), brake assist, Active Traction Control (A-TRC), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), trailer sway control, hill-start assist control and CRAWL with turn assist function.

      2. The multi-terrain select is provided depending on the model.
