BODY STRUCTURE

  1. OUTLINE

    1. Lightweight and Highly Rigid Body

      1. Using high strength steel sheet and ultra high strength steel sheet reduces weight and ensures rigidity by optimizing the frame joint structure and the positioning of the reinforcement member.

    2. Safety Features

      1. The impact absorbing structure minimizes cabin deformation by effectively helping to absorb the impact energy in the event of a front or side collision. This provides high performance occupant protection.

    3. Rust-resistant Body

      1. Rust-resistant performance is enhanced by extensive use of anti-corrosion steel sheet, as well as by an anti-corrosion treatment that includes the application of anti-rust wax, sealer and anti-chipping paint to easily corroded parts such as the hood and rocker panel.

    4. Low Vibration and Low Noise Body

      1. Effective application of vibration damping and noise suppressant materials reduces engine, wind and road noise.

    5. Aerodynamics

      1. Various types of airflow routing parts that control airflow are provided in order to ensure excellent aerodynamic performance.

    6. Parts with Low Repair Cost

      1. A construction, which does not cause damage to the body in low-impact collisions, is used for repair cost reduction.

  2. MAIN FEATURES

    1. Exterior Design (Front View)

      1. Big and bold trapezoidal radiator lower grill sub-assembly enhance "dynamic and emotional" with wide stance and low gravity.

      2. Front bumper moulding cover from radiator grille emblem is continuing in the head light assembly that express "keen look"* with horizontal emphasis.

    2. Exterior Design (Side View)

      1. The front and rear overhangs have been made longer, and also the beltline near the bottom of the door glass has been made steep so that it appears to continue up to the roof, producing the dynamic appearance.

      2. The character line has been created by connecting continuous curves to express elegance.

    3. Exterior Design (Rear View)

      1. Similar to the front view, by combining the protruding rear fenders and the bodyline that accentuates the rear fender protrusion, a lower center of gravity and improved agility have been produced.

      2. The rear bumper corners utilize a shape that smoothes wind flow and contribute to reduced wind drag.

      3. The rear spoiler sub-assembly* have been provided to produce a sporty appearance.
