OPERATING CONDITION
Eco Driving Indicator Light (Models with CVT)
Eco Driving Indicator Light starts to operate when all of the following conditions are met:
| Condition | Ignition switch is ON. |
| Engine is running. | |
| Shift lever is in D. | |
| Shift paddle switch is not operating. | |
| Driving mode is normal. | |
| When the vehicle is at a speed of about 130 km/h (81 mph) or below. |
Eco Driving Indicator Light stops operation when any of the following conditions is met:
| Condition | Ignition switch is off. |
| Engine is stopping. | |
| Shift lever is in any position other than D. | |
| Shift paddle switch is operating. | |
| Driving mode is not normal. | |
| When the vehicle is at a speed of about 130 km/h (81 mph) or over. |
SYSTEM CONTROL
Front Seat Belt Warning
When the ignition switch is ON, this system detects the condition of the seat belts based on the signals from the front seat belt buckle switch LH and RH and the weight detector sensors.
The front seat belt warning light located in the combination meter is used for both the driver and passenger seats.
After the ignition switch is turned ON, if the driver or front passenger has not fastened their seat belt, the seat belt warning light will begin flashing.
When the seat belt remains unfastened and the vehicle speed reaches approximately 20 km/h (12.4 mph), the seat belt warning buzzer will start sounding intermittently. At this time, the seat belt warning light flashing will change in sync with the intermittent buzzer sound. These buzzer and indicator warnings will continue for approximately 30 seconds until the seat belt is fastened.
If the seat belt still remains unfastened over the approximately 30 seconds, the intervals of the intermittent buzzer sound and flashing light will change, and such warnings will continue for approximately 90 seconds until the seat belt is fastened.
While the seat belt warning light and buzzer are operating, fastening the seat belt will bring them to a stop.
Rear Seat Belt Warning (Models with Rear Seat Belt Warning System)
When any one of the rear seat belt LH, the rear seat belt center or the rear seat belt RH is not fastened, the rear seat belt warning system will turn on the rear seat belt warning light and buzzer provided in the combination meter to urge rear passengers to fasten the rear seat belts.
On 5-door models, the rear seat belt warning light will turn on when approximately 30 seconds have elapsed after the ignition switch is turned to ON and a rear door is operated from open to close, or a rear seat belt is unfastened while the ignition switch is ON.
On 3-door models, the rear seat belt warning light will turn on when approximately 30 seconds have elapsed after the ignition switch is turned to ON, or a rear seat belt is unfastened while the ignition switch is ON.
The rear seat belt warning buzzer will sound when the vehicle speed reaches approximately 20 km/h (12.4 mph) or more while the rear seat belt warning light is on. If the seat belt is not then fastened after approximately 30 seconds have elapsed since the buzzer started sounding, the rear seat belt warning buzzer will sound more loudly than normal for approximately 90 seconds.
Eco Driving Indicator Light (Models with CVT)
The operating diagram of Eco Driving Indicator Light is as follows:
When the ECM, using information (such as vehicle speed, accelerator pedal depressed volume, engine speed signal (engine rpm data), and so on), calculates that the vehicle is driven in an Eco-friendly manner, it turns on Eco Driving Indicator Light and shows the bar graph of ECO Driving Indicator Zone Display* within Zone of Eco driving.
*: Models with color type multi-information display
When the ECM calculates that the acceleration exceeds Zone of Eco driving, it turns off ECO Driving Indicator Light.
The operation of Eco Driving Indicator is as follows:
| Vehicle Condition | ECO Driving Indicator Zone Display* | Eco Driving Indicator Light |
|---|---|---|
| Stopped | |
Turns off |
