FUNCTION
Steering Lock Function
The steering lock ECU is integrated in the steering lock actuator assembly, and it controls the lock bar operation through the control of the lock/unlock motor.
The steering lock ECU detects the lock bar position and transmits this information to the certification ECU.
In this system, the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) determines whether to lock or unlock the steering. Then, the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) transmits the lock or unlock command signals to the steering lock ECU through the immobiliser code ECU (transponder key ECU assembly). Upon receiving the signals, the steering lock ECU operates the lock/unlock motor to lock or unlock the steering.
