  1. OUTLINE


    1. The 2NR-FKE engine is a 1.5-liter, 16-valve DOHC, in-line 4-cylinder gasoline engine.

    2. This engine uses the Direct Ignition System (DIS), Variable Valve Timing-intelligent by Electric motor (VVT-iE) control, Variable Valve Timing-intelligent (VVT-i) control, Electronic Throttle Control System-intelligent (ETCS-i) and Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system employing a highly efficient EGR cooler. These systems achieve improved engine performance, fuel economy and clean emissions.
