Daytime Running Light System (Models with Daytime Running Light System)
This system is designed to automatically activate the daytime running light during the daytime to keep the car highly visible to other vehicles.
Automatic Light Control System (Models with Automatic Light Control System)
When the light control switch is in the AUTO position, the light control sensor detects the ambient light level and automatically turns the headlights, taillights, clearance lights, and license plate lights on or off accordingly.
Follow Me Home System (Models with Follow Me Home System)
This system is designed to illuminate the low beam headlights for certain period after the vehicle parked.
Light Automatic Turn-off System (Models with Light Automatic Turn-off System)
When the ignition switch (engine switch*1) is turned off while the light control switch (TAIL or HEAD) is turned on, the headlights and fog light are turned off automatically. When the ignition switch (engine switch*1) is turned off while the light control switch is in the AUTO position, all lights are turned off automatically.*2
When the ignition switch (engine switch*1) is turned off and the driver door is opened while the light control switch is turned on or is in the AUTO position, all lights are turned off automatically.*3
A battery saving function has been adopted. This function operates as follows; after the lamp auto cut system was activated, when the light control switch (HEAD) is turned on or is in the AUTO position and the headlights and taillights are turned on, the lights will be turned off automatically in a certain period of time to prevent the battery to run out.

High Intensity Discharge (HID) Headlight System (Models with HID Headlight System)
The HID headlight system uses a discharge bulb as its light source for the high/low beam. Discharge bulbs have features superior to halogen bulbs.
Automatic Headlight Beam Level Control System (Models with HID Headlight System)
When the headlights are on, the automatic headlight beam level control system operates the headlight leveling motor in accordance with the movement of the vehicle.
Light Reminder System
When the driver door is opened with either the headlights or the taillights turned on when the ignition switch (engine switch*) is turned off, the buzzer sounds to prevent the driver from forgetting to turn off the lights.

Manual Headlight Beam Level Control System (Models with Halogen Headlight)
The manual headlight beam level control system keeps the beam of the headlight adjusted to the appropriate level in accordance with the number (weight) of passengers and volume of luggage.
Emergency Brake Signal
The hazard warning lights flash automatically in the case of emergency braking to alert following drivers, thus helping to reduce rear-end accidents.

PRECAUTION
HID Headlight System
When the HID headlights illuminate, a high voltage (approximately 30000 V) is applied momentarily to the bulb sockets, which could lead to a serious accident. Never connect the tester to the high voltage socket of HID headlight for measurement, as the high voltage may cause a serious accident.
When inspecting the HID headlight system, in order to prevent electric shocks, make sure that water is not present, the light control switch is off, the battery terminal has been removed, and the connector of the light control ECU has been disconnected.
Operate the HID headlight only after assembly has been properly completed, and never operate without bulbs installed.
Do not operate the HID headlight using a power source other than that of the vehicle.
If there is a defect in the HID headlight or if the headlight has suffered a shock, replace the bulb with a new one.
Discharge bulbs reach high temperatures when illuminated. For this reason, the life of a bulb could be shortened if any oil comes in contact with the glass portion of a bulb. Do not touch the glass portion of a bulb with bare hands.
Judgment whether to be externally poor is difficult for the bulb of the Discharge head lamp. Therefore, a quality is judged by check changing for the normal Discharge head lamp bulb, and making the light switch on.
