  1. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS


    1. Window Defogger System

      Component Function
      Defogger Switch Inputs the window defogger wire operation signal into the air conditioning amplifier assembly*1 or defogger relay*2.
      Air Conditioning Amplifier Assembly*1 Operates and controls the window defogger system in accordance with the signals from the defogger switch.
      Window Defogger Wire Applies electrical current to a window defogger wire installed in back door glass to remove fogging from back door glass.

  2. OPERATION


    1. Window Defogger System (Models with Automatic Air Conditioning)


      1. When the power source is turned ON and the defogger switch is pushed, this system is activated to keep the defogger heater and mirror heaters* on for approximately 15 minutes.


        • *: Models with mirror heater

      2. When the outside temperature is approximately -3°C (26.6°F) or below and the vehicle has been driven at approximately 45 km/h (28 mph) or more after the window defogger system has been used continuously for approximately 15 minutes, the system operation time will be extended by a maximum of 45 minutes.
