K312 CVT SYSTEM


  1. OUTLINE


    1. A K312 Continuously Variable Transaxle (CVT) is used for the 1NZ-FE engine models.

    2. The K312 CVT, which includes a pair of the pulleys and the steel belt in the shift mechanism, is a transaxle which steplessly shifts from start-up to the maximum speed, offering a smooth shift feeling and excellent fuel economy.

    3. A special CVT fluid filling procedure is used in order to improve the accuracy of the CVT fluid level when the transaxle is being repaired or replaced.

    4. A coaxial 2-port type oil pump system is used.

    5. A gate type shift lever is used.

    6. A 7-speed sport sequential shiftmatic system is used.
