    1. Oil Pump


      1. The trochoidal type oil pump is driven by the crankshaft, and fits compactly inside the oil pan.

    2. 2-stage Hydraulic System


      1. A 2-stage hydraulic system that allows the engine oil pressure to be controlled according to the vehicle driving conditions has been adopted. Therefore, energy loss due to the driving of the oil pump has been reduced and fuel economy has been improved.

        High pressure operation As oil is not supplied to the back of the sleeve valve, the oil discharge pressure pressures the sleeve valve downward and lowers the relief hole position. Therefore, the valve opening pressure becomes high.
        Low pressure operation As oil is supplied to the back of the sleeve valve, the sleeve valve is pushed upward and the relief hole position is raised. Therefore, the valve opening pressure becomes low.

    3. Oil Jet


      1. Oil jet for cooling and lubricating the pistons are provided in the cylinder block sub-assembly.

      2. These oil jets contain a check valve to prevent oil from being fed when the oil pressure is low. This prevents the overall oil pressure in the engine from dropping.

    4. Oil Filter


      1. An oil filter with a replaceable oil filter element is used. The oil filter element uses a high-performance filter paper to improve filtration performance. It is also combustible for environmental protection.

      2. A plastic oil filter cap assembly is used for weight reduction.
