  1. CONSTRUCTION


    1. The oil pump is operated by the torque converter assembly. The oil pump lubricates the planetary gear units and supplies operating fluid pressure for hydraulic control. The front oil pump drive gear is continually driven by the engine via the pump impeller. The pump has sufficient capacity to supply the necessary fluid pressure throughout all speed ranges, as well as in reverse.
