EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM

  1. OUTLINE

    1. Exhaust Emission Control System

      1. 4 Three-Way Catalytic converters (TWCs) are used to reduce emissions in the exhaust gas.

      2. Based on the signals from the oxygen sensors, the ECM controls the fuel injection volume in order to optimize the emissions in the exhaust gas.

      3. An air injection system is used.

      4. An Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system is used.

    2. Evaporative Emission Control System

      1. The ECM controls the purge flow of evaporative emissions (HC) in the charcoal canister assembly in accordance with engine conditions.
