LUBRICATION SYSTEM GENERAL


  1. OUTLINE


    1. The lubrication circuit is fully pressurized and all oil passes through an oil filter.

    2. A trochoid gear type oil pump is driven by the crankshaft via the No. 2 chain sub-assembly (oil pump drive).

    3. This engine has an oil return system in which the oil is force-fed to the upper cylinder head and returns to the oil pan through the oil return holes in the cylinder head.

    4. The camshaft timing oil control valve regulates the oil pressure and then supplies oil into VVT-i controller.

    5. An oil filter with a replaceable element is used.
