  2. CONSTRUCTION

    1. Front Seat

      1. The seatback with an integrated headrest has been made slim to provide sufficient legroom at knee height for rear passengers. Also, more foot room has been provided for rear passengers by making room under the seat cushion and using an embedded seat rail.

      2. The driver and front passenger seats are equipped with sliding and reclining mechanisms to optimally adjust the seat positions. The front passenger seat is also equipped with a walk-in mechanism and has 290mm (11.4 in) of long sliding distance, allowing a rear passenger to get in and out more easily.

      3. The seat slide lever, which had been mounted under the seat cushion, has been relocated to the side of the seat cushion, improving ease of use.

      4. The seat back has a curved contour and a wide support area that conforms to the ideal curvature of the occupant's back when seated, the seat back wire has been optimally placed, and hard felt sheets are used on the side and lumbar portions, thus providing proper support to the driver and front passenger. Also, a seat cushion panel is bendable flexibly to improve ride comfort.

    2. Rear Seat

      1. The seat back lock mechanism allows the seat back to be folded forward when the lever is simply pulled forward. As a result, ease of use has been improved.

    3. Seat Cushion Tip-up Mechanism

      1. The quick tip-up mechanism is used to improve ease of use. The rear seat cushion can be raised easily by pulling forward the lock release strap and pilling it up. After the seat cushion has been raised, it can be secured by removing the hook attached to the strap from the button and hooking it to the headrest stay.
