LUBRICATION SYSTEM GENERAL

  1. OUTLINE

    1. The lubrication circuit is fully pressurized and all oil passes through an oil filter.

    2. The trochoid gear type oil pump is driven directly by the crankshaft.

    3. The chamber for the oil pump rotor is placed in the timing chain cover to achieve a simpler construction and a more compact engine.

    4. A water-cooled type engine oil cooler is used to lower the oil temperature.

    5. A resin oil strainer is used to reduce weight.

    6. No. 1 sub-assembly oil nozzle is provided for cooling the piston.

    7. An oil filter with a replaceable element is used.

    8. 2-stage hydraulic system is used.
