METER / GAUGE SYSTEM GENERAL


  1. OUTLINE


    1. An electrical analog type speedometer and tachometer have been adopted. For the tachometer, only Singaporean models are equipped with it as standard. For European models, it is available as an option.

    2. An odo/trip meter that uses LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) has been adopted.

    3. The speedometer, tachometer, and odo/trip meter have adopted a system in which they are operated by the signals received from the CPU (Central Processing Unit) located in the combination meter.

    4. An engine oil change reminder light has been added on European models.

    5. On the 1KD-FTV engine models for Singapore, the tachometer display is provided with economy zone (1400 to 2600 rpm) and red zone (4200 to 6000 rpm).

    6. On the models for Singapore, the fuel system warning light is provided as standard equipment.

  2. MAJOR DIFFERENCE


    1. The functions of the monitor ECU have been incorporated into the combination meter (meter ECU).

    2. The engine oil change reminder light reset switch function has been incorporated into the ODO/TRIP switch. Accordingly, the procedure for resetting the counter has also changed.

    3. For details on the conditions under which the engine oil change reminder light illuminates, and the procedure for resetting it, see the 1KD-FTV engine section.

    4. With the changes to the specifications for the 1KD-FTV engine of European models, the output power characteristics and NMR (No-load Maximum Revolution speed) have also been changed, and as a result, the value for the lower end of the red zone has been changed to 4400 rpm.
