    1. Alternator


      1. A rotational fluctuation absorption mechanism that consists of a one-way clutch has been integrated in the alternator pulley. This mechanism absorbs the fluctuations that are created by the engine speed in order to prolong the service life of the belt.

      2. Due to the function of the sprags and springs that are placed circumferentially between the outer and inner rings of the pulley, this mechanism transmits only the power of the engine in the direction of the engine rotation to the alternator. Thus, it reduces the load that is applied to the belt.

        Tech Tips

        SST (09820-63020) has been newly established due to the adoption of a pulley with the one-way clutch function. For details, refer to the Repair Manual.
