OUTLINE
A throttle body equipped with a rotary solenoid type throttle control motor is used.
Swirl control valves are provided in the intake manifold.
An air-cooled intercooler is used.
A variable nozzle vane type turbocharger is used.
MAJOR DIFFERENCE
The major differences between the 1KD-FTV engine mounted in the previous Dyna 100/150 and the 1KD-FTV in the new Dyna 100/150 European models are as follows.
Intake Manifold
The swirl control valves have been separated from the intake manifold. Furthermore, the valve opening angle control has been changed from 2-stage to 3-stage. As a result, the swirl ratio in the low-middle engine speed range can be regulated to 3-stage.
