OUTLINE
An EGR system is used. This system is designed to reduce and control NOx formation through a slight reduction of peak temperature in the engine combustion chamber, which is accomplished by introducing a small amount of inert gas into the intake manifold.
MAJOR DIFFERENCE
The major differences between the 1KD-FTV engine mounted in the previous Dyna 100/150 and the 1KD-FTV in the new Dyna 100/150 European models are as follows.
The EGR control system has been changed.
The catalyst support control has been provided.
The EGR valve has been changed from the vacuum type to the DC motor type.
A water-cooled EGR cooler with bypass and bypass switching valve has been added.
A DPF catalyst has been added. Along with the addition of the DPF, an exhaust fuel addition injector has been provided.
Differential pressure sensor has been added.
Exhaust gas temperature sensors have been added.
Air-fuel ratio sensor has been added.
