OUTLINE
The 1KD-FTV TOYOTA D-4D (Direct Injection, 4-stroke Common-rail Diesel Engine) is a 3.0-liter, inline 4-cylinder, 16-valve DOHC with intercooler turbocharged diesel engine.
A Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) catalytic converter has been added to the 1KD-FTV engine to improve its exhaust gas cleaning performance. Along with the provision of the DPF catalytic converter, an No. 2 EGR valve assembly, exhaust fuel addition injector assembly and catalyst support control have been added.
