OUTLINE
A common-rail system is used in the fuel injection system.
An HP3 type supply pump, which is compact and lightweight, is used.
An injector compensation value and a QR code are printed on the injector to realize high-precision control.
On models for Singapore, a fuel filter warning switch, which turns ON/OFF when the internal vacuum of the fuel filter increases, is provided in the fuel filter.
A fuel cooler is used in the fuel return path.
MAJOR DIFFERENCE
The major differences between the 1KD-FTV engine mounted in the previous Dyna 100/150 and the 1KD-FTV in the new Dyna 100/150 European models are as follows.
Common-rail System
The fuel injection accuracy has been improved and atomized fuel injection has been achieved by increasing the maximum common-rail fuel pressure (from 180 MPa to 200 MPa) and employing the piezo fuel injectors. As a result, high power output, low emissions and good fuel economy are offered at the same time.
Exhaust Fuel Addition Injector
An exhaust fuel addition injector that injects fuel during PM regeneration has been provided.
Fuel Injector
The solenoid type fuel injectors have been changed to the piezo fuel injectors. Besides the DPF catalyst, an exhaust fuel addition injector that injects fuel into the exhaust pipe has been provided.
