    • Since the outer panel is surface treated and bonded to the inner panel, it is not decomposable.

  2. PAINT SPECIFICATION OF SUPPLY PARTS


    • The outer panel is replenished with the primer (gray color) painted.

    • Masking of the inner panel is necessary when painting. (Active rear wing specification includes outer panel)

    • When painting, the outer panel requires scuffing, primer and surfacer coating are also required.

  3. PRECAUTIONS FOR PAINT REPAIR


    • The painting process is a conventional process. However, please pay attention to the following steps in the masking process.


    1. Masking


      1. As part A of the inner panel is complicated in form, please be sure to mask it so that there is no gap or floating.

      2. In order to prevent mist from adhering to the inner side of the luggage from each color mounting hole (8 places) and the gap between the outer panel and the inner panel, lift the outer panel and make a gap between the inner panel and masking tape as shown in *4 Please slide in.

      3. Mask the luggage compartment door housing adhesion area (*A) of the outer panel (inside) to ensure adhesion during installation.

    2. Removal of television camera assembly and luggage compartment door housing


      1. Remove the television camera assembly and the luggage compartment door housing when the painting range extends to the television camera assembly.

        Note


        • Since the luggage compartment door housing is attached with an adhesive tape, please warm it with a dryer etc. and lower the adhesion force before removing it with a clip remover or the like.

        • Since you can not secure adhesion strength to the removed luggage compartment door housing (adhesive tape), do not reuse it.

        • When installing, be sure to use a new luggage compartment door housing, apply a special primer (N-200: 3M made) to the outer panel (inside), then adhere after 10 minutes to 3 hours (temperature 23 °C, humidity 65%)
