DRIVE SHAFT SYSTEM GENERAL

  1. OUTLINE

    1. Front Drive Shaft (AWD Models)

      1. A tripod type Constant-Velocity Joint (CVJ) is used on the differential side, and a Rzeppa type CVJ is used on the wheel side.

    2. Rear Drive Shaft

      1. A cross groove type Constant-Velocity Joint (CVJ) is used. Also, a hollow shaft is used, thus simultaneously ensuring rigidity and achieving weight reduction.

      2. A type that couples directly to the differential is used for weight reduction.
