  1. PROCEDURES NECESSARY WHEN BATTERY TERMINAL IS DISCONNECTED/RECONNECTED

    Necessary Procedures Effect/Inoperative Function When Necessary Procedures are not Performed
    Memorize maximum steering angle Simple intelligent parking assist system
    Operate Back door lock Power door lock control system (for Hatchback, Wagon)
    Drive the vehicle until stop and start control is permitted (approximately 5 to 40 minutes) Stop and start system

    • for Sedan Radio and Display Type:

      After the ignition switch is turned off, the radio and display receiver assembly records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch off, make sure to wait at least 80*1 or 120*2 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

      *1: w/ DVD Player

      *2: w/o DVD Player


    • except Sedan Radio and Display Type:

      After the ignition switch is turned off, the radio and display receiver assembly records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch off, make sure to wait at least 120 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
