REMOVAL POINT
*1 is reused.
After removing the *1, rear seat back lock striker reinforce and quarter panel extension reinforcement remove the quarter wheel housing outer panel.
*2 in illustration above indicates where the adhesive is located.
Roughly cut open the panel so that the adhesive can be reached. Cut through the adhesive with a cut chisel to remove the panel.
Tech Tips
In cases where the adhesive cannot be removed with a cut chisel, heat the adhesive with an industrial heater gun or gas burner taking care not to cause panel deformation by overheating.
*3 indicates the location of the foamed sealing material. Be careful when cutting as the foamed sealing material is located near the cutting position.

INSTALLATION POINT
For positioning of the new parts, align the installation standard holes of the outer panel and the inner panel.
When welding *1, make a hole on a new part for plug welding and weld the panel with the panel behind completely.
Before installing a new part, apply body sealer.
Tech Tips
Apply body sealer in an even, continuous bead.
Apply adhesive (3MTM AutomixTM Panel Bonding Adhesive #8115) to the area indicated by *2 in the illustration.
Tech Tips
Apply enough adhesive for the panels to stick to each other.
*3 indicates the location of the foamed sealing material. Be careful when welding as the foamed sealing material is located near the area that is cut and joined together.
After welding the quarter wheel housing outer panel to the vehicle side, install the wheel house reinforcement, rear seat back lock striker reinforce, quarter panel extension reinforcement and *4.
After welding, apply body sealer and undercoating to the corresponding parts. (See the paint / coating)
After applying the top coat, apply anti-rust agent to the internal panel portion of the closed section structural weld points.
