CLEAN BACK DOOR GLASS
Using a scraper, remove the damaged spacers, moulding and adhesive sticking to the glass.
Clean the outer circumference of the glass with non-residue solvent.
Note
Do not touch the glass surface after cleaning it.
Be careful not to damage the glass.
Even if using new glass, clean the glass with non-residue solvent.
INSTALL NO. 1 BACK WINDOW GLASS SPACER
Apply Primer G to the glass where the spacer will be installed.
Note
Allow the primer to dry for 3 minutes or more.
Throw away any leftover primer.
Do not apply too much primer.

If the primer is applied to an area that is not specified, apply non-residue solvent to a clean cloth and wipe off the excess primer before it dries.

Remove the peeling paper from a new spacer. Install the spacer to the glass at the location shown in the illustration.
INSTALL NO. 2 BACK WINDOW GLASS SPACER
Apply Primer G to the glass where the spacer will be installed.

Throw away any leftover primer.
Do not apply too much primer.

Remove the peeling paper from a new spacer. Install the spacer to the glass at the location shown in the illustration.

Using a brush or sponge, coat the application area of the back window outside moulding with Primer G.

INSTALL BACK DOOR GLASS

Position the glass.
Using suction cups, place the glass in the correct position.
Check that the entire contact surface of the glass rim is perfectly even.
Place matchmarks on the glass and vehicle body on the locations indicated in the illustration.
Tech Tips
Placing matchmarks is only necessary when installing new glass. When reinstalling the used glass, matchmarks should already be present.
When reusing the glass, check and correct the matchmark positions.
Note
Check that the spacers are contacting the vehicle body correctly.
Using suction cups, remove the glass.

Using a brush or sponge, apply Primer M to the exposed part of the vehicle body.

Using a brush or sponge, apply Primer G to the contact surface of the back door glass.

Cut off the tip of a cartridge nozzle as shown in the illustration below.
Tech Tips
After cutting off the tip, use all adhesive within the time written in the table below.

Load a sealer gun with the cartridge.
Apply adhesive to the back door glass as shown in the illustration.

Install the back door glass to the vehicle body.
Using suction cups, position the glass so that the matchmarks are aligned. Press it in gently along the rim.
Lightly press the outer surface of the back door glass to ensure that the back door glass is securely fit to the vehicle body.
Note
Check that the spacers are contacting the vehicle body correctly.
Check that the vehicle body and glass have a small gap between them.
Hold the back door glass securely in place with tape or equivalent until the adhesive has hardened.

Using a scraper, remove any excess or protruding adhesive.
Tech Tips
Apply adhesive to any areas where the amount of adhesive is inadequate.

Do not drive the vehicle within the time written in the table below.

Connect the connectors.
CHECK FOR LEAK AND REPAIR
Conduct a leak test after the adhesive has completely hardened.
If there are any leaks, seal them with auto glass sealer.
INSTALL REAR WIPER MOTOR GROMMET

Apply MP grease to the entire inner surface of the wiper motor grommet.
Tech Tips
Make sure that the hole does not get clogged with grease and the grooves in the grommet are filled with grease.

Install the rear wiper motor grommet with the position mark facing upward as shown in the illustration.
INSTALL REAR WIPER MOTOR AND BRACKET ASSEMBLY
Temporarily install the rear wiper motor and bracket assembly with the 3 bolts.
Tighten the 3 bolts.
Connect the connector.
CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

INSTALL REAR WIPER ARM
Operate the rear wiper, and stop the rear wiper motor at the automatic stop position.

Clean the serrations with a wire brush.

Align the blade tip with the mark on the glass, as shown in the illustration.
Install the rear wiper arm with the nut.
Close the wiper arm head cap.
INSTALL REAR SPOILER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Attach the 4 clips and pin to install the rear spoiler.
Install the 4 nuts.
INSTALL NO. 2 BACK DOOR PANEL PROTECTOR
Clean the vehicle body surface.
Remove the double-sided tape from the vehicle body surface.
Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.
Install the No. 2 back door panel protector.

Apply double-sided tape to the No. 2 back door panel protector in the position shown in the illustration.
Remove the peeling paper from the double-sided tape on the No. 2 back door panel protector.
Tech Tips
After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.
Install the No. 2 back door panel protector with the clip.
INSTALL NO. 1 BACK DOOR PANEL PROTECTOR
Tech Tips
Use the same procedure described for the No. 2 back door panel protector.
INSTALL BACK DOOR TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY
Attach the 12 clips to install the back door trim.
Attach the clip.
INSTALL BACK DOOR INSIDE HANDLE
Attach the 4 claws to install the door inside handle.
INSTALL BACK DOOR SIDE GARNISH LH
Attach the 2 clips and claw to install the back door side garnish.
INSTALL BACK DOOR SIDE GARNISH RH
Attach the 2 clips and claw to install the back door side garnish.
INSTALL CENTER BACK DOOR GARNISH
Attach the 4 claws and 4 clips to install the center back door garnish.
