DESCRIPTION

• If the auto up/down function does not operate, the cause may be one or more of the following:

• The ECU in the door window regulator determines that the door window regulator motor has not been initialized.

• The rear power window regulator switch RH has a malfunction.

• The Hall IC in the door window regulator motor has a malfunction.

• There is an open or short in the wiring between the rear power window regulator switch RH and the door window regulator motor.

      Remove the rear power window regulator switch RH (Click here).

   2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 8 (AUTO) - 1 (GND) Auto up/down operation Below 1 Ω 1 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

   CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY RH - REAR DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR ASSEMBLY RH)

      Disconnect the L1 switch connector.

   2. Disconnect the L3 regulator connector.

   3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition L1-8 (AUTO) - L3-4 (AUTO) Always Below 1 Ω L1-8 (AUTO) or L3-4 (AUTO) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
